Healthy recipes with hemp

Hemp seeds are a very healthy source of protein for vegetarians. Take a look at some of the ways they can be used in your healthy living diet menus. (If you are interested, they can be purchased at fit2go, Bogotá, or through Mercado Libre)
Sweet detox smoothie
Ingredients
- 1 cup of cold green tea (if you have Matcha, better) or water
- 2 small, ripe apricots
- 1 ripe pear
- 1 teaspoon hemp seeds
- ½ or 1 teaspoon of spirulina powder
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger (optional)
- 2 large bunches of green leafy vegetables (kale and spinach, for example)
Preparation
Blend the tea with the apricots, pear, hemp seeds, spirulina and ginger until smooth.
Add the green leafy vegetables and blend again.
Hemp and kale taboule
Ingredients
- ½ cup chopped kale
- ½ cup hemp seeds
- ½ cup cherry tomatoes (whole or diced)
- 1 cup diced cucumber
- ½ cup chopped chives
- ½ cup chopped mint
Dressing
- 1 splash of olive oil
- 1 clove of garlic, minced
- juice of one lemon
- 1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
- Salt and pepper to taste
Basic recipe for crackers and we add hemp seeds
Ingredients
- 1 cup soaked almonds
- 2 ½ cups of water
- Splash of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of cumin
- 2 tablespoons of salt
- 1 ½ cups freshly ground flaxseed
- Hemp seeds to taste
Blend and add the ingredients except flaxseed and hemp
Then add to the mixture
On dehydrator trays or in the oven, spread the mixture on plastic wrap and dehydrate at 63°C/145°F for 3 hours and then at 43°C/125°F for 7 hours.
