Uses and benefits of peppermint essential oil

Peppermint essential oil is produced by distilling arrobas of mint leaves to obtain the essence.
The components of peppermint oil are menthol and menthone, so peppermint oil . Other components found in the oil are methyl acetate, 1,8- cineole, limonene, beta-pinene and beta-caryophyllene.
Peppermint oil ( Mentha piperita ) is commonly used for many ailments at home, such as headaches , along with lavender essential oil, and for stomach problems , especially heaviness and gas.
Other benefits of peppermint oil are in the respiratory area as an expectorant and decongestant and can be used both in massage and inhaled through an oil diffuser.
It also helps control asthma and slow the progression of tuberculosis .
Relieves muscle pain. This can be achieved through massage or by adding a few drops to a hot bath.
Herpes Treatment. Used topically, the oil is able to penetrate the skin, making it ideal for recurrent infections as well as the pain caused by these infections.
Antiseptic, antimicrobial. This quality makes it useful when incorporating it into both personal and home hygiene products.
Oral health. Excellent as a mouthwash and to freshen breath, 2 drops can be added to toothpaste.
Concentration, mental energizer when feeling tired and lacking focus. Add a drop topically to the temples or inhale.
Ways to use
Especially if you have sensitive skin, it is best to dilute it in a carrier oil (coconut or almond) to use it topically.
Inhaled, it is done through the essential oil diffuser where it is mixed with water.
Internally, a drop can be added to an aromatic drink to relieve stomach discomfort.
